When it comes to surviving the elements, staying hydrated is second only to breathing. Staying warm and comfortable in your I/O Merino base layers is right up there as well, of course, but even we’ll admit having clean water to drink is one of the most important things ever. Which is why it’s critical you have a decent water bottle for all your adventures.
We’ve seen plenty of water bottles in our travels, some with all kinds of fancy designs and features, but we stumbled across this one recently, and just had to share it with you. Because this one won’t just help keep you hydrated, it also helps bring clean and safe drinking water to someone in a developing country for about six months!
The team over at Cotopaxi have a mission to give back to humanity, so every time you buy one of their water bottles, then send enough money to charitywater.org to make sure someone else has something to drink as well.
By all accounts, this one happens to work quite well too. It features double walled insulation to keep your drink hot for up to 12 hours or cold for up to 24hours, is BPA-free and resistant to bacteria and odors, (much like our own base layers!) and the opening is big enough to fit ice cubes in. So if you’re thinking of buying a water bottle, buy this one.
